Rooted from a child, I’d spend hours on a mannequin head copying styles from a YouTube video to learn little things that I could do on myself and others, i would love it when people would say “i love your hair, how did you do it?”. 

My love for hairstyling started when I was just a child, I would spend all my time after school and on weekends sitting and watching my mum as a hairdresser create her magic in her little salon at home. I would use all her styling tools, combs and foils to pretend I was putting highlights in my own hair.

I would do any job she would let me in the salon, sweeping up, measuring out the foils and making the cup of teas. I was completely hooked, not just by the transformations she created with her hands, but by the friendships and trust she built with her clients. I’d spend hours beside her, soaking it all in, and any chance I got, I’d rope in my sister as my very own hair model to create plaits and various other different styles. 

From there, as I got older my passion for styling just grew. I’d spend my weekends creating styles for me and my dance partner for our dance shows and competitions. I would watch YouTube tutorials to learn how to recreate whatever look we were loving at the time - though the looks have definitely evolved since then! By the age of 14, I knew I had a real love for hairstyling and making people feel their best.

In 2021, I decided to take the leap and turn my passion into a career and started on my professional hair journey. I invested in high quality bridal hair training with two of the best in the industry - Hannah Taylor and Kasia Fortuna. I attended multiple in-person and online masterclasses focusing on hands on, practical training working on real hair to build my skills and expertise.

From this, I am certified in bridal hairstyling, and I never stop learning. I’m always keeping up with latest styles, products and techniques behind the scenes to keep my techniques fresh and up to date.
