BOOKING FAQS

  • My answer is always yes! Trial appointments give us the perfect chance to meet in person, test styles, and make any tweaks before the big day. Trials take place in Goole, at Brows & Base Beauty Studio (21 Paradise Place, DN14 5DL). More information of what to expect from a trial can be found here link to trial section.

    • Parking: Available in the nearby square up to 2 hours or the free car park on Estcourt Street (about a 5-minute walk).

    • Duration: Please allow approx. 2 hours for bridal trials.

    • Payment: Due at the time of the trial.

    • Availability: Weekdays only between 8.45am-3pm.

  • I can style up to 6 people myself depending on the ceremony time. For more than 6, an additional stylist will be required. I can provide these at the time of enquiry. My bridal package covers hairstyling for up to 4 people—the set fee stays the same whether it’s for 1 or 4 people.

  • Expect an early start on wedding mornings- hairstyling can begin as early as 6 AM. This all depends on your ceremony time and the number of people requiring hairstyling. I roughly take one hour each, so if its 6 people I would allow a 6 hour booking.

    • I’ll arrive around 10 minutes before our agreed start time to set up.

    • We’ll discuss timing well in advance and I’ll advise on the best start time to keep the morning running smoothly.

  • Timing depends on your bridal party size.

For 5 people, I need around 5 hours, plus 1 extra hour before the ceremony to allow time for dressing and photos.

    For example:

    • Ceremony at 1pm  → Styling starts at 7am

This will always be tailored to suit your day and every wedding party is different so I would work this out specifically for you.

  • If your booking needs a second stylist (based on party size or timing), I’ll let you know straight away. I don’t arrange additional stylists myself as everyone has their own contracts and pricing, but I’m happy to recommend amazing suppliers that you can contact directly to arrange their services.

  • Yes, I have full public liability insurance. If you or your venue need a copy of the certificate, I’m happy to provide it.

HAIR FAQS

  • I absolutely love accessories in bridal hair as they really help tie the look together! I have some in the salon that your welcome to try at your trial appointment but I don’t provide these for the wedding day, however if there’s something you really love in the salon you are more than welcome to purchase it from me.

    • I always recommend waiting until after your trial to purchase your accessories so it complements the chosen style rather than working the hair around the accessory.

  • I don’t supply or sell hair extensions, but I’m more than happy to provide recommendations. Most of the styles you see on social media have a few clip in extensions in to really enhance the look. My top recommendation is 100% real human hair clip-in extensions (seamless ones are best). I don’t offer styling synthetic hair extensions/ponytails- only real human hair.

Why are clip ins the best?

    • I can place them exactly where needed, whether you’re having an updo or a down style.

    • Unlike permanent extensions (nano rings, tapes), they don’t limit placement or styling.

    My go to recommended suppliers:

    ·       www.cliphairlimited.com

Important: Please wash and blow-dry your extensions before your trial and wedding day—even if they’re new. Unwashed extensions are too silky, have a residue on them and don’t hold a style well.

    • Washed the night before and dried with a hairdryer

    • Completely dry

    • Blow-dried with a hairdryer to reduce frizz (don’t let it dry naturally)

    • Free from product (unless used for frizz or natural curls)

MYTH- dirty hair is good for styling, no! clean hair is a must!

    Also:

    • Have inspiration photos saved to your phone that match your hair type/colour

    • Wear something easy to change out of without disturbing your hair

  • Here are a few helpful tips I’ve picked up from real wedding mornings:

    • Steam dresses the night before – steam affects how hair holds, so avoid using it on the day.

    • Save inspiration pics – signal can be hit or miss at venues. Have ideas saved and ready.

    • Follow hair prep advice – honestly, this one makes a huge difference. The hair prep is the foundation of the style.

    • Create a fun bridal playlist – music sets the tone for the morning.

    • Be ready an hour before the ceremony – Enjoy those special moments with your bridal party (and a glass of fizz!).

    • Delegate tasks – Give bridesmaids simple jobs so you can relax.

    • Gather your flat lay items – Perfume, shoes, invites, jewellery—your photographer will want these early, and you’ll likely be mid-glam!

We’ll go over all of this (and more) during your trial. I love chatting all things wedding with my brides!
