Come with me to Wharfedale Grange
Morning Moments at the Barn
Gaby began her wedding day in the beautiful bridal suite at Wharfedale Grange, surrounded by her bridesmaids and mum. The morning was calm, joyful, and filled with laughter — the kind of atmosphere every bride dreams of.
Gaby came with a clear vision: a high updo, elegant yet relaxed. Drawing from inspiration she’d seen on my page, we were able to craft something truly personal to her. Gaby had a few different styles she liked— and I loved being able to bring them all together into one tailored look.
With her finer natural hair, we discussed adding extensions to achieve the volume and structure she wanted. She reached out ahead of time for advice, purchased her extensions, and together we made her dream style a reality.
The Trial
At the trial, Gaby realised she loved the idea of a high bun, but preferred a slightly more understated version with less volume. We adjusted the style to suit her preferences by using fewer extensions and a different technique on the day. This is exactly what a trial is for: exploring different options so that, when the big day arrives, the hairstyle feels absolutely perfect.
Gaby gave her bridesmaids the freedom to choose their own hairstyles, and it just so happened that they were all drawn to a similar look from my page, the trending half up half down style of 2025. We went for soft, bouncy blow-out curls so that it wasn’t too structured and as the day went on, they could move their hair however they wanted to rather than it being fixed in place. They wore the most gorgeous blue dresses, perfectly complementing the colour theme of the day.
Once I placed Gaby’s veil in place underneath her high bun and put in place the mother of the brides lovely facsinator I wished her the best day and eagerly waited for the amazing photo’s the next day, I couldn’t wait to see her day! From start to finish, every detail was captured beautifully by Charlotte White Weddings.
Hugh congratulations to Mr & Mrs Daubney.
The Look: Effortless Glamour
Victoria wore the LEYA gown by Divine Atelier. A dreamy dress with the most heavenly draped silk skirt with a smooth, snatched bodice. It had an elegant, romantic and modern look that would never date, everything you’d want in a bridal look. To complement the dress we went for a 90’s supermodel blow out moment, voluminous, bouncy, and effortlessly sexy hair. The kind of hair that moves with you and isn’t too fixed in place.
To get the look, I started with a blow dry using products to get the volume in the hair and stiffen the roots so the hair would be less soft. Then I went in with my GHD Classic Curl Tool to add bouncy curls using a flat wrap technique. I pinned the curls up while the makeup was done and then I used a mixture of my go to products- KYK Magic Dust, Osis texture spray and Osis volume up to create the volume then brushed it all out to get those soft, dreamy curls.
